A Mississippi bred motion graphic designer residing in Birmingham, AL. He is an entrepreneur and has also participated in Hibbett campaigns as a model and motion graphics artist.

Suede Lewis

The creative mind behind a lot of your favorite Hibbett content, he leads a team in Hibbett’s marketing department where he curates and directs social media campaigns.

More about Chanel

Chanel Williams is a graduate of Lawson State Community College’s Art Program and is now a nationwide known artist for winning the Shoe Surgeon School’s Custom AF1 Competition in 2019. Chanel’s art journey began as a child, but after the passing of her mom she chose to fully dedicate herself to her art and made the investment to join the Shoe Surgeon School AF1 course where she built her winning “A.L.Y. 75” High Top  AF1 from scratch. She named the shoe after her mother to commemorate her memory.

Recently Chanel launched her custom shoe and apparel company CocoNelly, which specializes in selling handcrafted custom sneakers, and tie dye apparel like socks, jackets and t-shirts. Chanel’s “A.L.Y. 75”  AF1 is currently available for retail.

Meet the Panelists:

Alycia Levels- Moore

Alycia Levels - Moore simply stated, is a creative problem solver dedicated to seeing people win. Levels- Moore is the founder of ASL Creative Strategies. A program and project management company that creates spaces, education, and partnerships with the purpose of eliminating the racial wealth gap by supporting the creation and scale of black owned businesses. Not only focused on creating equity in entrepreneurship, classically trained and well traveled. Alycia also operates ASL Music Group where she released several projects including “More Fight.” A musical project in partnership with AFSP (American foundation for suicide prevention) aimed at breaking the stigma around mental health & wellness. 

Whether championing small businesses, a chapter member of Black Girl Ventures, or chasing around her two baby girls. Alycia is serious about helping others to actualize their dreams and crack open their true potential.

Matthew Newman

A passionate philanthropist, marketer and serial entrepreneur, Matthew Newman is the

Founder and CEO of The Brand Pillars,LLC, a 7-figure, experiential marketing staffing agency

laser-focused on giving clients complete access and control to highly trained and qualified

personnel. He is the Founder and CEO of All In Coworking of Inglewood, and co-founder of

the tech startup, Virtual Coworking.Community, which is the world's first black-owned video

conferencing platform and entrepreneurial community.

A true entrepreneur at heart, Matthew launched his first company— a natural, organic lawn

maintenance company—in his early twenties. My Lawn Mower & Me has won awards for

landscaping—including the Greater East Dallas Chamber's Lake & Garden Districts People's

Choice Business of the Year. Alongside the lawn company, Matthew founded

#FoodforCompost; an organic compost non-profit corporation that aims to help meet local and

state waste reduction goals.

Tierra Virden

My name is Tierra Virden and I’m the owner of Thrive Tech LLC. I was born and raised in Oxford, AL and a resident of Birmingham, AL. I’m a graduate of marketing from the University of Alabama and skilled in web design and marketing. I took my leap into entrepreneurship, January 2020 and Ive been very blessed on my journey thus far. God has truly orchestrated my steps and I’m thankful that I’m able to help other entrepreneurs and corporations with their businesses digitally.

Julian Grant

Julian S. Grant is an energy professional currently serving as a Commercial Business Development Specialist for Alabama Power Company. In this role, he is directly responsible for helping to facilitate economic growth within the Birmingham area and promote electric technologies with the intention of generating revenue growth for the company. He is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate of Ramsay High School. Mr. Grant is also a graduate and avid supporter of Alabama A&M University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 2016, Julian received his Master’s Degree in Information Engineering & Management from UAB. He is also recognized by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager.

Julian’s love for mentorship and philanthropy can be felt through the many organizations in which he serves. Mr. Grant is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., INROADS Alabama Alumni Association, Birmingham Education Foundation Junior Board, Rotaract Club of Birmingham, and the City Action Partnership Board of Directors. He is also a past President of the National Society of Black Engineers - Birmingham Chapter, where in 2016 the chapter received the national Pre-College Initiative of the Year award under his leadership. In 2014, Julian founded the Siamese Dreams Outreach Foundation in partnership with his twin brother, Justin. The organization’s primary purpose is to assist the youth in “conjoining today’s aspirations with tomorrow’s opportunities”! Since inception their organization has outreached to over 700 students throughout Alabama.
